OSU Calendars No Big Deal

Students on the Miami University campus protested and made much noise when a calendar featuring female students in swimsuits went on sale in Oxford, Ohio, earlier this fall.

But nothing like that happened in Columbus when two 1994 calendars featuring scantily clad Ohio State University male students was introduced in the campus area last month.

One calendar is printed in black and white and shows the "Cool College Men" in what the publisher describes as conservative clothing and poses.

Another, printed in color, is called "Hot University Hunks" and is accurately described as being more risque. Some of the students were photographed wearing nothing but a smile.

Publisher Sean Ashbrook notes on the calendar that he does not intend to represent it as something 'sponsored, licensed, supported or approved by The Ohio State University."

The Hunks calendar sells for about $10. A calendar shoving female OSU students in their swimsuits sells for about $13.
